Looking for a way to reduce on-the-road costs? And make company vehicle drivers better drivers?
Then Heronswood Fleet Driver Training could be just what you are looking for.
Extensive research has shown that approximately 20 people each week are killed as a direct result of work-related accidents.
Many employers believe that because they conform with the rules and regulations of ensuring their vehicles are taxed, insured and roadworthy, that this is where their liability ends - this is wrong!
I can offer you prices to suit your budget, and most importantly, unlike many training establishments, for the price of a one-off consultation, can help you implement a risk assessment programme tailored to your individual needs.
I offer my full support and help in preparing your risk assessment.
I will train your company vehicle drivers* to become safer and more in tune with the principles of eco-safe driving.
An employee driving assessment would be as follows:
- A short presentation on the need for occupational road safety awareness, with validation and interaction followed by a discussion with the employee about their work-related driving, i.e. hours of driving, delivery schedules, loading, security, mobile phones, fatigue, journey planning, time management etc.
- A visible vehicle check based on the 'Power' principle + vehicle familiarisation, cockpit drill + pre-start checks
- An observed drive of 35-40 minutes identifying, analysing + rectifying any faults as they occur
- A final risk profile of each employee seen, signed and dated by all parties present, and passed onto the line manager, then the person responsible for risk assessments - usually the health and safety manager.
